Is it a DIY job? Its a 7' up and over that's required, white metal, to replace an existing (broken) one. Is it a pretty simple installation job?

Pretty simple, if you get one in a frame it's a case of squaring it up, getting your gaps between the door and frame equal, fixing to the wall with right angle brackets, then pull the locking pin out and away you go

Very easy, Lots of videos online and they come with instructions.
Just be very careful on the measuring and ordering, Alot of sites only give the door size and you have to add on the frame size and the 5-10mm gap all around it.

How is yours broken? they can be quite easy to repair too

I have a gap 2270 wide and height about 2040.
The door with frame is 2245 wide and 2040 high( I check again )
Will that be enough clearance or do I need wood to secure it in on sides .
