Hi,

I'm in the process of buying a house which will need a central heating system installing (there isn't one there at present), and to be rewired.

Assuming I get this more major work done before moving in, what's the best order to get these jobs done it?

My thoughts are do the CH first, and then electrics.

Or does it make more sense to have both trades on site at the same time??

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Colin

Yes, that's true; he would need to connect the boiler, programmer etc to the mains as well I suppose...

Yes but you need to let the electrician know roughly where the boiler is going so he can provide a spur. You may not need a hard wired programmer probably just a wireless programmer/thermostat.

I would say sametime. The sparky will then provide leccy exactly where plumber needs it. This is what we did when we rewired and installed a new CH system into our previous house.
