About time I updated our Potterton Boiler. We currently have a gravity fed cyclinder system. We have three bedroms and one bathroom and i'm in the process of building/finishing an en-suite to main bedroom. Have three children all girls who all like showers!

If you were installing from fresh what system would you opt for?

A - a combi boiler

B - a gravity fed cyclinder with immersion back up

C - another option - please give details

Upgrade existing to condensing system boiler and upgrade cylinder to unvented. You will need to check incoming mains pressure and flow rate before doing this. Unvented cylinder will still have immersion back up.

If you are after saving space then fit a decent combi but again check existing flow and pressure on mains to make sure you get maximum potential of new system! Also gas pipe work needs checking for combi upgrade!
