New induction hob

But TBF, they also make cookers with induction hobs, so I can only assume that the directive not to install above a built-in double oven is that there just isn't enough room, i.e. the hob will be too deep.

But isnt there as much space above a double oven as there is above a single oven?

And as much space within the oven cabinet above the oven cavity?

I dont understand the directive, to be honest. It seems mad.

We are now getting two single ovens side by side (600mm each). The 900 hob will sit between these. We are having 30mm granite and the back of the ovens is a pretty standard 575mm high.

Can you forsee any problems with the depth with regards to it actually fitting in and heat problems that will stop the induction working.

I may still have to have a normal hob but lets hope not!

If you've got an oven which gets so hot on the outside that it will damage a hob above it then there's something seriously wrong with it.
