Forgive me if this is the wrong section to post my query, this is my first post. I was wondering if anyone could help me out.

I've recently had some building work done on my house and it involved laying a new concrete floor in the kitchen (as a result not had a kitchen for 6 weeks). The depth of the concrete was roughly 3.5"/4". I understand that is unadvisable to lay flooring for at least 8 weeks to allow the floor to settle properly. However, does this apply to fitting the kitchen units?

I would think its due to the floor drying out.

And I'd also think you could fit the cabinetry, since it normally sits in plastic legs and therefore allows ventilation to the floor.

The floor covering clearly affords little or no ventilation to allow the floor to dry.

Thanks Steve.

I thought it should be ok (because of the plastic legs). It's just that as it gets closer to the kitchen going in doubts start to go through my mind.

Anyway, thanks for the help.
