new kitchen light issues

hi folks...ok ive just changed from a flourescent tube in my kitchen to a 4 spot light rail....all looked simple...twin neutral wires(black), one earth(yellow/green) and one live(red)...did a straight swap and worked fine...problem is the two lights in our living room now dont work....ive checked and at a loss!! any ideas,,cheers,, paul.

Check that both neutrals are connected, one maybe loose/broken or insulation trapped in terminal, thus preventing contact.
 
Make sure there's not another bunch of wires stuff in the ceiling void, which may have been disturbed.

The neutrals will be looped between each light fitting, if they are not kept continuous, you will have power loss at every light after the break, it could be that this light is the second to last on the circuit.
Also check it has not broken, that happens occasionally.
Then after that, if the problem is not resolved, it could be that there are additional cables within the void above the fitting that have been disturbed whilst fitting new light, that have become loose/broken, then there is always the coincidental chance, that the lamp has failed in the light that does not work!
