My new mixer tap for the kitchen comes with flexi hoses. The end that connects to the plumbing has a screw on piece with a washer in it, rather like a metal washing machine hose. Can these be screwed directly on to the isolator valves that I fitted last time I did the kitchen. The isolator valves have compression fittings at both ends but the thread is the same.

if your talking about they have a female thread with a black washer in the bottom
then yes screw them straight on to the iso valves.

I've connected the flexi hoses to the isolating valves and all seems OK. I wrapped PTFE tape round the threads. I thought the sharp edge on the isolating valve would cut into the washer but I didn't overtighten them. Some isolating valves seem to have a flat edge to them rather like a .5" BSP connector. Thanks for your help.
