Hi, I've recently had a new outdoor tap installed, and just bought a new hose with attachments. Can't for the life of ne get them to attach. I can get a rough connection by removing the brass end from the tap and screwing on the hose without the 2 extra attachments but the threads don't quite match and it spurts everywhere.
Am I missing something?!

Unscrew the brass hose push on bit.
So you are saying the green bit in your picture don't fit nor the grey?

In your third photo, of the tap, unscrew the brass part screwed on the tap spout, at the bottom. Then in your second photo, replace the brass part, with the green plastic adaptor. Then end of your hose, with it's green hozelock end, should just plug on.

Or gray screws on tap first then the green on that.

Ime the grey type is a smaller thread, so doesn’t tend to fit those tap threads. Should be green tap adapter and then the green push on connector.

Sorted thank you. I had been trying to do the right thing, but probably a cheap fitting and I needed to take my time to get the thread lined up. Secure and not leaking.
Thanks for the confidence to persevere :-)
