Just had new taps fitted and have noticed that the left tap seems to be dribbling all over the place. Would an aerator fix this? I have attached a link for a video. Many thanks.
Does it sort it self out when you put your finger over the spout and then remove ? This just has the tendency to change the flow pattern through the filter/ gauze in the spout for the duaration of that flow(i.e. Not a fix) but just lets you know it's sortable!!
Then what I'd do is undo with spanner and check for any debris , also some taps can have many gauzes in spout ( different sizes) try playing about if that's the case removing 1 or 2??!
Put a aerator in or even add a piece of gauze which you can self cut , just to change flow pattern.
Just a case of elimination, Beware-water always bites you on your ARS!!
Hard to tell from film but i would suggest taking the aerator off and checking for debris post intallation. Chances are there's just a bit of carp in it.
Take out indice/aerator and rinse it, upside down, under the other tap. Blow through it a couple of times also. If problem persists use a bright light and a needle to clear holes and push any tiny particles out. After that... get new aerator.
