new taps should be straightforward ....

Need to fit new taps to sink in kitchenette.
Hot water is supplied via an instantaneous hot water supply system ... which looks as though its fitted upside down in the 'tank room', which is on the same level, in the loft space.

The hot water supply to the tap (not fitted the new one yet) seems very complicated .. 2 pipes to the hot water heater - and another .. all connected with a vertical brass 'pipe' / 'connector'. Does the pipework seem normal?

If I can reach past this, is it a straightforward swap over of taps?

Hoping for some good advice, thanks in advance.

check your water heater manufacturer,as some heaters require a special tap that will allow for any expansion of the heater.
Gaz.

The tap body is probably in the brass manifold, and controls the inlet to the water heater, not the outlet from it. The outlet remains open at all times to vent the heater, and is connected to the tap outlet. It only appears to be a normal tap.

Put a normal tap on the heater outlet, and there is a very strong possibility of a big bang!
