I'm shortly going to gut my bathroom and install a new one as a project. I'll be removing some old tiles from halfway up the wall downwards and then when the suite is installed, i'll be tiling the whole room.

Question:

1. As a complete beginner to tiling, what tools do i need to buy?
2. Is it worth hiring any depending on the cost of buying?
3. i've heard of tanking, but am not sure what it is, or what it involves. Do i need to tank around the bath as well as in the shower?

2. Not really, no.

3. No.
