I have read various posts on this.
I have just installed pressure treated vertical feather edge panels in an existing concrete gravel/post situation.
The boards are a natural golden colour and I quite like it as is.
However I have the time available to give it a water based (?) clear coat of something.
Am I right in doing this now?
Any recommended brands to use?
Waste of time/money?
This is a side passage between me and my neighbour.
I installed it from my side but could coat it from the other side as well.
Once this is done, I intend to fit a lean to roof over the passageway so any subsequent painting would be harder to do
Any thoughts?
Happy to use solvent based products so as an example
Rustin Shad and Fence Clear
Or
Cuprinol water based wood preservative clear
Thanks in advance
