Ive just had a upvc rosewood effect exterior back door fitted. Top half glass bottom half flat upvc panel. The grain in the panel runs from side to side and looks odd to me. Shouldnt the grian run downwards? I dont want to contact the company to complain until im sure its been installed wrong. Thanks.

Ideally yes that's how I've always fitted, is the panel square, maybe it could be rotated if there's only 15mm difference between width and height

No the panel is oblong but I knew it looked odd. Would they be able to change the panel easily enough? Its rosewood exterior but white inside.

Yeah straight forward 10 minute job, I suspect the company keep flat panels in stock and cut to size themselves and had a small off cut they could cut your panel out of but the grain was running the wrong way, guess they where hoping you wouldn't notice

Have they got any showrooms or picture of any doors they've fitted, the more examples of vertical grain you can find that they fitted the better, it'll probably cost them 30 quid cutting a new panel so not the end of the world for them
