newly skimmed walls and ceiling, mist coat applied, next?

hey all had the box room skimmed now ive applied a mist coat using dulux trade supermatt white,
however the walls will be a different colour, should i now apply another mist coat in white or start applying the new layers of chosen colour?

The mist coat is a binder coat that has nothing to do with the colours. Just paint the colour of your choice over the mist coat.

Mine advice, you can add to the mist coat a bit of top coat paint to change the colour of fresh plaster. Sometimes 2 coats in total are enough.
