Just been looking online and some people use silicon sealant.. any other suggestions? I could get a new replacement seal but they are a bit pricey

The foam seal does tend to compress fairly easily, and rarely seals once disturbed. I've used 'sticky both sides' draught excluder foam before - the stuff on a roll - but I wouldn't object to using silicone either.
Any replacements from a breaker will be in the same state as yours, I'm afraid.
John :)
