Make/model: Nissan NV200
Year: 2011
Engine: 1.5dCi
Milage: 102000
I have a problem with a van that I have suppressed for far too long. The 'check engine' light is on, as well as the ESP warning light. I have confirmed the ESP is not functional in the snow.
When driving, the car will always limit acceleration at some point. This I know happens in 3-4-5 gear. I don't recall if I have experienced it in 1-2. It doesn't seem to happen at a given RPM, and feels quite random.
I had hoped that it would just be a sensor acting up, which is why I bought a ELM327 OBDII scanner. I have read the OBD codes, and also tried to clear them. This did work for the first couple of kilometers, but then the warning lights turned on again, and the hesitation returns.
The fault codes read can be seen in the image:
I have more or less skipped looking at the ABS error, since this seems to work when in use - also tested in snow. My understanding is that other errors might trigger this one.
The P1453 fault seems to be the place to start looking. I have been around the internet for this one, with which I feel like I have hit a roadblock. Some places it says it is a DPF sensor. On other sites they say it is the Fuel Tank Pressure Relief Valve. Most of the sites I have visited seems to be some AI generated junk.
I have tried looking for the DPF sensor and it's hoses, but I haven't had any luck as of yet. I see no hoses, or anything resembling it in the engine bay. Is it possible for a diesel car to not have this sensor, given it is from 2011?
I have only looked for the Fuel Tank Pressure Relief Valve shortly around the fuel tank. Does anyone know if this is build into the fuel pump on this car, or placed elsewhere?
I am using the Car Scanner app for android to scan for fault codes. I don't know if this might show me some erroneous output. I also cannot find the DPF sensor in the app.
