No Access problems to leaking pipe.

No idea Ben. Just a method I'm aware of.

Can only suggest the usual...yellow pages etc.

I am aware of something like that in so far that I hear rumours of it, but don’t know anyone that has actually seen it.
Looked in yellow pages, but zip.

There is a better method where they put a chemical in the water and then search for that chemical where its leaking using an electronic meter.

Its a bit like filling the pipe with gas and using your gas leak detector.

I think they charge about £300 but usually find it no problem.

They advertised in the GI a few months back.

Have used a company with a name like Leakbusters.
They use
acoustics
infra-red (looking for heat)
Hydrogen in the water, which seeps through absolutely anything above.

They guarantee to find the leak. I think the price isn't exactly fixed, it depends what they need, They found "my" person's leak by listening with a whizzy doofer. It was a joint at base of a rad tail under a suspended floor.
