Hi,

This seems to have happened since i changed the ball float and valve on the toilet. The system is sort of semi direct - All cold feeds are from the mains and hot is from a 25 gal water tank.

The problem is that the hot water is only coming out in a trickle, barely anything at all.

Any ideas - maybe an air lock ?

Thanks

Maybe a half shut gate valve??

or it does sound like an air lock!

if you have a kitchen mixer tap, put hand over the end and switch on hot tap, then CAREFULLY turn on cold to force the water back up this pipe work. Left it run like this for say 10 - 20 secs, turn off cold and release, should start flowing!

Another way is a hose from hot to cold tap, or using a washing machine hose going from the hot to cold connection??

Appreciate your help - I don't have a mixer downstairs but have a mixer shower upstairs can it be done with that. Also what about bleeding the rads.

Thanks

Yes of course - thanks - I will do this from the bath mixer as the cold is directly fed to this too.

Will keep you posted

It's true what they say, "You is truly SUPERDUPER"

Did exactly from your post but from the bath mixer upstairs - worked a treat !!!!!!!!!

30 second job - Thank god for that too as it was my mums house, she aint too happy with me Ginny pigging her house to do my DIY stuff either.

Thanks again - and especially for the fast response
