Greetings.

My friend just rang me. I don't know why!
She has no hot water coming through the taps at all. It was fine this morning.

She has an Immersion heater, and says the tank has water in it and is warm.

I suggested the pump may be gone but would appreciate some pro advice.

Cheers in advance.

Sounds like she has a blockage.

A blockage between the immersion and all taps?

Nothing coming through taps at all. (hot taps)

if no water at any taps could be blockage or airlock or theres no water in the tank in the loft (if its a vented system)

Is it an unvented cylinder or a vented one?

I am not sure. I would guess at vented. She said its heated by bottled gas so I reckon it's not that modern.

first thing is to check (well its the first thing i'd check) that there is water in the tank that feeds the cylinder.

oh well!!

I'm C&G plumbing and heating, but i think you are gonna make more money than me!

I'm not sure about that!

Sparks tend to think it's the plumbers who make all the cash.

I think sparks are gonna be in higher demand due to the over publicising of plumbers apparent wages and the explosion in 'plumbing' courses and people who think they are plumbers after 6grand err..i mean 6 weeks training!!

BTW - I've been training since oct 2003 and my course and other things will cease in 2008 so thats 5 years training (all free) though its very hard earning min wage but it is paying off...hell some of my advice to 'diyers' on here helps\works.................some. :D
