Hello all

I'm looking out for peoples view.

I have a megaflo 250l HW cylinder and a vailant eco Tec boiler..

In normal operation everything works fine.. but I've just realised that when I turn off the mains water supply (stop cock) I immediately loose hot water too.

Is that normal? I would have thought that the hot water should still run from the HW Tank.

Your thoughts please?

Regards
Sups

No you have an unvented HW cylinder and if the cold supply is isolated no water will come out of the Hot taps , that is how it works

Ianmcd - thanks for a quick response, and thanks for confirming.

Cold main enters the bottom of the cylinder and the pressure pushes the hot water out of the top of the cylinder to your outlets.
