no hot water

hi anybody help - central heating working fine but no hot water good job we have an electric shower.we had a new zone valve fitted & pump but a couple of weeks later the hot water packed in.the hot water tank has 2 bleed valves on top. one pipe gets quite hot the other clap cold. could it just need bleeding. cheers in advance for any ideas
