Hello,

I'm getting absolutely nothing from the cold water tap in the bath. The lavatory flushes ok and the supply to the basin is fine. Is there a blockage between the sink and the bath do you think? To be honest I haven't used the bath for a while, throughout the summer at least.

Any ideas?
Thanks for any help

are you sure the pipe work to the cold tap on the bath is connected at any point to that supplying your wc cistern and basin tap.

It's more likely the bath tap is the only tap in the room supplied from the cold water storage cistern (in loft or airing cupboard), and that the pipe has got blocked.

Thanks for your replies. I have got a shower over the bath, not a power shower, which is working fine. And I'm not sure whether the the bath tap is connected to the basin and WC. If it is a blockage from the cold water storage cistern in the loft, is that simple to unblock?

Thanks

Connect the mains(garden hose) to the bath tap and open it. Hope that whatever it is gets pushed back up the pipe.

Or start to take the tap apart. If it starts to leak water out you know it's just the tap so you'll need to turn the supply to it off, and dismantle the tap. Could be the washers stuck on the seat, in which case moving things with a spanner might release it.

ChrisR, thanks I'll give that a go on the weekend.
Cheers
