Noisy gas boiler (with sound clip)

Hi all,

The in-laws boiler has started making a strange noise. It starts about 30 seconds after the gas comes on and lasts about a minute until the gas goes off again. The flame can be seen clearly through the little window.

Any ideas what it is?

It was serviced a month ago and was fine up to now. It is still doing its job, just with a noise.

What make and model boiler is it?

Sounds like a fan or pump bearing to me, but would have to be in front of the boiler to diagnose properly.

Typically I did not get those most crucial details. I will try though. They have the British Gas insurance so its just a phone call to get fixed but with New Year it may take a little while.
