Noisy toilet flush

Just fitted a new toilet but its making a really growly noise (sorry not technical) when flushed but if its flushed again within 2 mins it doesnt make this noise. Ive bled all the radiators as it sounded as if there was air in the system. Any suggestions please?

Why have you bled the radiators, have you connected the WC water supply to the central Heating ???

With the water being switched off i just bled the radiators as par for the course. As the sound is so loud i wasn't sure if it might have been air in the pipes somewhere, worth a try but never worked.

When exactly does the noise start? when does it stop?

Is it a replacement for what was an existing toilet? or is it a new toilet in a different location?

Hi there it is when you press the flush, it only last a few seconds but sounds like furniture being pulled along a wooden floor. We took the old toilet out and put a new one in, no pipe work replaced.

Put a finger against the cold feed, and flush, can you feel any vibration?

did you remove a pipe clip or strain it to get it to connect to the new cistern?

Not sure if its relevant but if the cold water tap is left running and the toilet is flushed it doesn't make the noise?

take the lid off the cistern, activate flush.
Does anything seem to be vibrating in the cistern?

Have you got high cold water pressure? Did the filler valve come with a pressure reducer? If there is an isolator, try turning that towards closed and see if the noise changes/reduces

Sounds like you've missed fitting a high pressure flow restrictor to your new fill valve
