Hi
I have a condenser tumble dryer that is bi directional tumble. It is OK one way but when it stops and changes direction to the left there is a persisten t sqeuaking noise , which sometimes becomes a scraping noise.
Any ideas what is causing this and is there a quick\ cheap fix/

probaly needs "grease" on the jokey wheel

the jokey wheel is what keeps the tension

Different makes and models use different methods so it's difficult to give an answer on this.
Very few (if any) machines use jockey wheels nowadays, it's all stretch belts.
In general, a scraping noise would indicate failure of the bearings.

ill get my coat then, i keep forgetting i left HP over 12 years ago
