Norton 360 and defraggalisation

Every so often my computer runs a "Disc optimisation" thing in Norton 360.

Does anyone know if this is the same as defraggalising or should I be doing this as a separate exercise?

Regarding the above post.

Apparently the word I was looking for was defragment.

Does anyone know if this is what disc optimisation does?

Quick and easy way to check, use the Analyze tool.

If it needs it do it.

I've got a hammer, a screwdriver and a spanner but I can't find an analyze tool!!! Is it somewhere in my computer and if so would you be kind enough to point me in the right direction?

No probs.

Go to Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter.

Then select Analyze (bottom left)
