Has anyone noticed that there are hardly any on those pesky flies about?

I purchased an electric fly killer last year and have not needed to switch it on yet.

The rain must have upset their breeding cycle thank god.

After a severe Winter a couple of years back, optimists were predicting a drop in midge numbers North of the border.

Unfortunately the opposite happened whereby the cold killed off all the creatures that fed upon the midges and the little bu99ers thrived.

Can't say i've spotted too many flies - but my guess is they've just been delayed by the cold - they'll get here soon!!

Have noticed a lot more bumble bees than normal though - bl***y great big ones too!! Had one in the kitchen yesterday and it wasn't far off 2inches long!

There are plenty coming out of my cellar where I keep the dead bodies...
