Blocked condensate on a Ferroli 25ov, you could actually hear the water slushing around when the boiler was switched on, cleaned out the trap flushed through, after couple of false starts it fired up and heated the rads lol, weird.

Saw similar on a floor-standing boiler last week - condensate was run into side of rainwater downpipe (combi drainage system so this was OK), downpipe had filled with leaves and blocked, when it rained the rainwater backfilled up the condensate and flooded the boiler

I see a lot of condensate wastepipes teed into foul wastepipes without an airbreak like a hopper or a gully. Is there not a reg stating that there should be such an airbreak to prevent turds in the burner?

You could even find the boiler works as a biofuel burner if the condensate trap is dry...

Come across that several times on the raven CSI.s recouperator out let blocks between the out let & inlet of the trap on boiler , condensate comes out of fan connection & gets blown around the interior of the boiler
eventually starts dripping out the casing , generally over the ign PCB , several with the obligatory Tesco bag over the PCB out there

heard that very same noise on that very same boiler(Ferroli 25ov, ) last winter when all them condensates were frozen

Remeha Quinta's are quite good when the condese is blocked, the water comes up to the flue outlet causing the flame to become unstable and it starts pounding away and tryinig to leap from the wall!!

This was just lack of service, the lady of the house is ok and pleasant, her husband is an arsehole, has no people skills, talks to my wife like she is **** on the phone, trys to talks down to me as well, only I wont wear it, I only do their work because the lady is fine and always pays up straight away and he is away a lot so never see him, long and short is you can tell them they need a service each year etc but it never gets done, it's not the boilers fault.
