Not so hot water

Hi

Not a plumber, but hoping for some advice before going out to get help in.

One of our bathrooms seems to be losing hot water, taps get warm but then cool back down. Water still runs. No issues in any other rooms and c.heating works fine. The taps aren’t mixer, separate hot and cold.

we’ve got a vaillant boiler which is only about 5 years old and maintained annually with a magnetic cleaning device. We also have ufh in our kitchen which runs off it. No issues anywhere and pressure looks okay.

Any tips what I could try or investigate would be really appreciated!

Do you have a shower mixer?

Hi. Yes the shower has a mixer. The bath taps and sink taps are separate hot and cold.

Could be failed check valve(s) on that shower mixer then.

Thanks. I’m googling check valves now and whether they’re something you can test/replace

dumb question, if that’s on the shower, would it also be responsible for the hot water in the bath and the sink?
