I don't know why, but usually these announcements don't seem to matter to me much, but I find this quite sad.
Two of the very best tv dramas, The Sweeney and Minder, both brilliant programmes, rip Dennis.

For some reason, I had it in my head he died younger.
So sad. My wife was good friends with him many years ago and she says off screen, i.e. in private, he was a very quiet, lovely man who had great respect for others, especially women. RIP Dennis, you brought much joy to many, many people.
Conny. Didn't he admit to punching and slapping that actress he was married to?
Come on Mottie, that's not fair.
