Has any one replaced a central heating system used plastic and layed in the old notches where the copper was? I guess you can't as the plastic fittings are bulky. And wouldn't allow the floor to be relayed?
Plastic tube is cheap but fittings are dear (and bulky). Best way to use plastic is via manifolds so you have no joints under the floor- only joints at the manifold and at the rads.
