I have finaly found a metric Oak veneerred door which the guy say is pre finished with clear lacquer, does this lacquer mean that i can't do much else with it like varnish it?

The lacquer is a form of varnish but it will be sprayed on and much more hard wearing than anything you could brush on. So it won't need varnishing.
