Looking at howdens oak veneered doors, it says"
20mm meranti lippings applied on each stil"

Does this mean you can plane either side upto 20mm?

no what does the instructions say usually 5 or 6mm
you may get away with 12 to 15mm but invalidate the gtee
you need to do your homework to find out
are these flush or paneled doors

cheers, on tech data i can see it says 3mm each side no more than 10mm
