Odd noise from boiler.

Could this problem have been caused by the EV losing pressure?

Is it a good idea to turn the tanks off and see if the problem persists?

its unlikely to have lost much pressure in such a short time, and the problem i described would be worse with the ev pressure being higher. turning the store off won't make a difference.

The dead leg was proving extremely difficult to remove which is why the valve in question was fitted, however the valve was fitted back in April, could it be that the valve is failing?

I will check the pipes tomorrow.

Looks like we'll have to call the installer back.

remove the check valve and set d.88 to 1 and see if this cures the noise and unwanted startups when cold water is drawn.

Before the check valve had to be fitted I did set d.88 to 1, this did reduce the nuisance start ups but they were not completely gone.
