Odd Radiator

My sincere apologies, if anything like this has been posted already, but I have had a good dig around and can't quite see an answer.

I have a first floor radiator, which I have bled because it is cold at the top. A little air comes out, then nothing. Even opening the valve further makes no difference and the rad stays cold at the top. Pressure is sitting at 1 bar.

Yes, it does. Up to about three quarters of the way.

close BOTH valves

open then remove the bleed valve (cloth handy)

poke a pin in the hole the bleed came out of :idea:

then reverse the steps ;)

If you are thinking the bleed hole is blocked, some air does escape when I open the bleed valve, then nothing until I do it again several days later.
 
Tried Kevplumb's idea, still the same. Anyone else?
