My drive has an odd sized Inspection Chamber / Manhole Cover.

Internal measurements are:

61 cm X 48 cm

The existing has a metal base which is how they have gotten this odd sized hole to work.

As the car goes on the drive need class C possibly class A cover.

No luck sourcing the correct size, is it permissible to opt for a different size to get around this in some way?

It is possible to make the hole smaller and more manageable using a concrete lintel a bit lower down. Or use a strong galvanized angle steel to reduce the masonry size then opt for a regular sized lid.

Thanks noseall,

I believe the sides are only a single course of bricks think would this still work?
