a few weeks without using the batteries in my oppinion wont effect the performance off any off them if it gets to 2 or 3 months then run them for a few mins under load and charge the flat ones
and on the benefits if your income including your partners is more than about £150 you wont get any help although if you have kids you may
go to gov uk and you will find al you need to know
