Oh Dear

You don't kill your kids because their father started playing away. There would be carnage if that was normal/acceptable.

People see headlines and draw their own conclusions.
No one knows what really goes on behind closed doors and there could be much more to this than anyone will ever know.
To do something like this the poor girl must have been absolutely desperate. I don't believe any woman/man does this out of spite, but do believe their mind may be unbalanced so they don't see things clearly.

I agree with most people that this is very sad and very unsettling.

I guess people will feel that fathers have been known to kill their children out of spite where as mothers tend to do it out of desperation.

Depressing.

According to NSPCC figures, it is about 50/50

I could give you ten links if I wanted to.
But you'll feel so much better if you find them yourself.

I think we all know that a response like this indicates that there are no such links.

Yes, he's bull$hitting - and not for the first time.

The pr*ck got that beautiful girl pregnant four times then left her for another woman.
And that's an excuse for murder?
As others have said, you are judging when you know nothing of the case beyond what you have read from the odd news. Not only that, but you paint women as a whole as morally superior to men without a shread of evidence.
You base these sexist views on feelings. And nothing else.
Do you want to carry on this discussion? Or do you want to fck off now?
Charming.

This puts you on a par with Joe-90 the Holocaust denier.

I'm sure we could all find links to press reports saying that he'd left her for another woman, but,,, such is life. Strange then that lots on here are blaming him for this tragedy, instead of blaming the unbalanced mother, who obviously took her children's short lives away from them.. Suicide is such a selfish act, but killing your own kids is something else. Had she survived, I'm sure she'd be shown less sympathy than some on here have shown her.

I found one.
Or maybe this is another 'link' to ponder...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-22170624

Police spoke to a pregnant woman at her home hours before she fell to her death and her three children were found dead.

Officers called at the Lowestoft home of Fiona Anderson on Monday morning following reports the children's father Craig McLelland had been stabbed.

There's a lot more to come on this it appears...

So some others shouldn't prejudge based on their own prejudices...

But by saying that JJ you are also coming to a prejudged conclusion...

I've been careful to say 'apparent' because at the moment nothing is 'obvious' at all...

my point was that it is nearly always assumed that a male rather than a female is to blame over the deaths of children in a family, whatever the circumstances!

And that's an excuse for murder?

It's not an excuse but if you had a clue you would know just what kind of a desperate situation she was left in with 3 babies to look after 24/7 while heavily pregnant.
That's not an excuse either, but by fck it makes what happened more understandable. We don't know what kind of support she had if any, it obviously wasn't enough. You d'heads slating me for 'looking to condemn the father' yet are happy to condemn the poor mother when like I said, you haven't got a clue.

No I don't, you are just reading things into my posts which aren't there.
The differences between men and women as parents are obvious. There are plenty of bad mothers out there but on the whole most women are good mothers. The same goes for fathers I suppose but there are undeniably more bad fathers than bad mothers.
If you think that is a sexist thing to say then you are an idiot.
Because there are undeniably far more absent fathers than absent mothers, and therein lies the nub, the man can make all kinds of promises and vows to the woman, and women being women naturally want to believe them. It's all too easy for the man to change his mind later and up sticks, it's much harder for a woman. Nothing to do with morals, it's just life. Obviously there are many many cases where good fathers are hard done too as well, but that's life as well. Sh*t happens but it's nothing to do with this incident, I don't know why people keep trying to bring that into it.
