Sorry, last message sent in error. Just yesterday i noticed that the heat in my house had gone down and, when i checked ,found that the Grant pressure jet boiler boiler wasn't working. I was able to re-ignite using the re-set button on the burner but after about 7-9 minutes it shut down again. I can repeat this process continuously and the burner will fire up again each time but i would appreciate it if someone could direct me as to what might be causing the flame-out. The pump is working and there is no , or shouldn't be, any shortage of oil.

As KP said information required as the cristal ball got broke at the Christmas party.

we have a choice of condensing boilers Vortex or utility.

we have kitchen models

combi models

5 outdoor models

7 boiler house models

yours is, model no, size

My apologies to you .The boiler is a Grant 70-120 boiler-house model and is about 12 years old .The burner was serviced about 6 months ago.

70/90, 90/140, 140/160, 160/200

model should be on the plate, burner type and make will be on the burner.

assuming its not a riello burner. it will prob be sol coil on pump, which will be danfoss or suntec/delta.

The boiler is a `Grant slimline 50-90`, and the burner, date stamped 1992, is a `Grant Minor one S`.The pump is a `Wilo` gold 60 and is about 1 year old.

Now then, is it a 70/120 or a 50/90? It can't be both. If the burner is really a Minor 1, it might be the pump coil, if it's a Riello G5, it won't be. So lets have ALL of the details from the burner plate. The Wilo pump has nothing to do with this problem.

When did your oil filter last get cleaned?

morning kevin... you mean trying to get the gen off posts

ive decided to try some merrydown medium spyder.....and very nice it is to

i only say coil, cos of symptoms as per described , ie after 10-20 mins goes to lockout. i change em, and 99% i dont go back.. and when i do go back i do a proper check

it sounds like a monoflame burner. (minor 1) so ill stick wid da coil.

bit a luck I got things to do

should be back later.

So sorry for the original mis-info, i can appreciate your frustrations; the installation brochure quotes for 50-90 and 70-125 models.the 50-90 indoor model illustrated does not look like mine whereas the 70-120 boiler house model does which is why i originally thought that was it, however, the boiler plate says `Grant slimline 50-90`The burner is definitely a Grant Minor 1 The oil-pump was replaced 9 months ago so i would imagine that the filter should be ok, but then i'm not an expert

imagine im mr spock off the starship enterprise. (and after wot ive just drunk...that is feasible)
