Thinking of doing my oil certificate in work.
The general feeling from other fitters, is that working on oil boilers ect is crap and the smell of the oil gets everywhere.

i logged on here tonight to get an opinion off experienced oil fiters. All i have got is some smarmy reply off oilman. Whats the point in asking questions on here after all, me thinking that was what this site was for..

You need some hands on experience before you even think about OFTEC training!!
Otherwise you will end up as many do, with an expensive certificate that proves you were able to find the answers in a series of books!!
You will however be classed as an oil "Technician" even though you dont have A f~cking clue!!

a had an apprentice just started, so i asked which trade he was going to learn?
and he told me service engineer.
yeah i said, but which trade are you doing?
