Oil choice for redwood floorboards

Hi
I want to apply clear oil to redwood floorboards. I am familiar with Osmo wood oils but are they the best?! They are overpriced to start with.
All I need an oil which protects the wood enhances the grain and also darken the wood as redwood is quite light shade. I have read Tung oil darkens wood.

2 litre of pure Tung oil cost £24 while 2.5 litre of clear Osmo polyx oil cost £96

After some research:
Apparently, pure oils like Tung and boiled linseed are hard too apply; they need upto 6 coats and 24 hours between coats, first coat need to be thinned with white spirit.
processed oils made by the likes of Osmo and Fiddes are oils which contain wax and other chemicals such as solvents, resins, drying agents.... needing 3-4 coats 8-10 recoat time and easy to apply. Hence called hard wax oil. Still overpriced for what they are.

This makes hard wax oils more attractive option for diyers and traders.
