Hey folks,

I have a 20 year-old Worcester Danesmoor 35-50 (obsolete model) pressure oil boiler. Now my problem is it keeps locking out. I've cleaned out the inside of it and had a good look about. It seems the thing isn't sparking. Now I'm pretty sure this is outside of my ability to fix but I was just curious as to why this is happening? I hate to be beaten but this kind of thing is beyond me. Anty thoughts? (and don't worry, getting a pro tomorrow)

PS the pump is fine

not sparking!
have you cleaned the electrodes
the two bits of metal next to the nozzle and are they set right? (check your manual)

last one i saw if memory serves has a scatronic ignition box could be this ,also have you confirmed solinoid is operational to oil nosil. the scatronic box has a push button on front . solinoid you could test by removing and inserting screw driver into centre see if it pulls when magnetized also do you have an oil float in tank hope these point you in right direction. personally i would be looking towards the scatronic box but try to test first as replacing bits, willy nilly can be expensive.

use an electrical screwdriver on the solinoid or you will fly across the room

the satronic is a see through control box
