Hi all

I have 18mm solid oak planks laid down in my lounge. They have an oiled finish and has been down 3-4years.

Now I was wondering how offer I need to re-oil the floor?

There are some scratches caused by chair legs (even with felt pads), which I want to round off by sanding them down with a fine grit sandpaper, but thought I should do this at same time as reoiling.any commend on period of retreatmeant and what to use

Thanks

Before you start sanding and oiling (you need to sand before your re-oil your floor) why not try some maintenance first?
Every wood floor needs a bit of TLC once in a while (say every 5 - 6 months_ to keep the wear and tear layer healthy and protective against dirt and spillages.
