I've got a CO850Mi from Screwfix, the mains powered carbon monoxide detector. I want to fit it in the sprog's room below the boiler in the attic. Is it ok to fit it with a plug rather than from the mains? (Will try and make sure no one turns it off ... ) Can't be @rsed running a spur from the socket and besides I probably want to take it with me when I move :P

Cheers!

You are obviously concerned about carbon monoxide enough to invest in the detector but not concerned enough to do the job properly.

How will you feel if the worst happenned and the alarm didnt go off because your sprog pulled the plug out, or because someone plugged in the hoover and forgot to replace the plug to the alarm?

Why not miss Eastenders one evening and sort it!
