Having an extension built to the dining room with existing wall knocked through. The dining room has floorboards. The current plan is to screed the extension to top of the dining room floor joists level.
However I want to lay vinyl (either click boards or sheet) across the whole lot. As that means I will need to lay ply on top of the floorboards first, then when it meets the newly screeded extension there will be a significant drop in level.
Is it acceptable practice to have the guys screed to the finished floor level (i.e. the top of the floorboards in the dining room? That way I can run ply right through the whole lot.
Whether I can lay ply on freshly laid screed is another question - moisture barrier required perhaps?
