So there's some old cable trunking in our new house, going from plug sockets along the skirting and then the wall corner. It was a pretty shabby job and now the horizontal trunking (from socket to room corner is peeling off the wall. I don't want to replace the trunking if possible, would rather just stick it back on... but I can't get a screw into it without going through the cable inside! Any advice on what I should do?

Cheers

With trunking, the lid comes off. Run a stanley knife down the join first if it's been painted over before. If it's very old, it may shatter/disintegrate, go slow.
