Hi specialists.
I took the old oven out and took the cables out without taking the picture. Now I need to install new oven, but I need confirmation about the colours.
I think blue is neutral, brown / burgundy is live and pink with blue stripe is earth. Am I correct?
Thanks

So is that the old oven cable photo or new? What does it state in the manual?

This is definitely not something for guessing. I suspect you need to show a picture inside the box at the other end of that cable.

So the green has turned blue and the yellow pink?
Yup, have seen it before.
What's visible from the cable markings suggest it is a modern 3 core X 2.5mm cable.
You try finding one of those in Burgundy, blue and pink and blue stripe! ;)

Thanks everyone.
Junction box is behind the cupboard. I was not able to access from the top. But when I took the bottom part of the cupboard, I was able to open the junction box.
I was correct with my guess. But I was lucky that I could reach the junction box.

I noticed that too. But no clamps. I think it was installed at least 20 years ago.

What has happened is the yellow has vanished.
Think back to schooldays and primary colours and colour mixing... blue and yellow makes... green...TaDaa

I've seen this sort of thing on many ocassions and it can get confusing when different wires in an enclosure change in different ways. The most common is red components fading, such as; making red turn grey/white/pink, pink turn white and brown turn blue etc. Bearing in mind that complex systems have many striped colours combinations (think about telephone cable for example) it can get very confusing. Even more so where the different ends are affected by different things, for example one end of a cable by heat and the other by atmospheric gas/acidity etc.

What is odd to me is that both ends of the cable seem to be equally affected, this suggests to me that it's unlikely to be a case of degredation due to environmental factors. If it was then I would expect both ends to be effected equally.

I would suggest replacing the cable, both to avoid confusion for the next guy and because issues like this make one suspicious of it's manufacturing quality.

Changing the cable is not bad advise.
Personally I'd check the existing to see if it's gone brittle or soft and squidgy and do an insulation test before considering changing it.

I have a couple of 6mm²extention leads in old colours, the red and black both look sort of brown/grey. I don't believe it's been overloaded, subjected to heat other than sun light (for black rubber in direct sunlight this could be 40ºC) or suffered unreasonable physical stress.
The resistance is fine, the insulation test is ∞, it's not perished, I don't fancy paying £500 to replace...

You could cable tie that to help fix it inside the outlet , not ideal but better than nothing
