OMG my massive European tour starts in less than two weeks time

I had a balcony, it was nice but pointless as I didn't spend long in the room really....
 
On the way home from South Africa in 1983, we went by boat - cheaper than a one-way airfare. We left Durban, next stop Seychelles, then Israel and finished up in Athens. Took us three weeks. At one point, they let me drive the thing.

Mrs Mottie won’t consider a cruise unless we have a balcony. It’s nice to sit out there with a drink or two and just stare out at sea. We're looking to go on another cruise in April - fly to Tenerife, cruise to Majorca and fly home.

I like to go from Southampton, it cuts out the airport hassle.

Trouble with that if you are looking for a warm weather cruise is you spend best part of the week getting from there to the med and back. For a one-week cruise, you can’t beat flying there and back and visiting 4 or 5 places in a week. Cruises from Malta are great.

Yes we were lucky as it was really hot here, 3 hours in the car and we was by the pool in the sun with a cocktail :giggle:
 
OMG is anyone going to be impressed with my amazing cruise. OMG this thread is all about me.
 
I have just received an email from the captain of our cruise liner, he has invited Lena and I to join him for dinner at his table. I cannot believe the cheek of the man thinking we havent got a table ourselves. I have just emailed him back to refuse the invite and told him that we have our own table thank you very much and explained that we are in a suite. I said he would be welcome to come and say hi at our table and get a photo so he can show his friends. I await his response !!!!!
