What a very special time for me.Late December back in 63?

As I remember what a night.....What a very special time for me.

FOR GOD SAKEAs I remember what a night.....

Don't remember that lineFOR GOD SAKE

Has Newcastle not been on the map as a good place for a night out for decades? I'm 50s now and seem to recall 20+ years back people saying it was a good/great place for a night out?Any ways back on track, Newcastle opened my eyes, we chose the wildest bars we could find, pretty difficult as they were all pretty much wild. All had bouncers on the doors so a sign of a good place when I see that. Only saw a few punches thrown from some weedy types who couldn't do any damage to anyone if they tried, I found the place as good as I have heard and much better than Manchester or Liverpool

Hes starting another songDon't remember that line

I dont know that oneHes starting another song

It's somewhere I have never been for a night out, heard lots about it but never been. So glad that I did as it was just an amazing night, made lots of new friends and the Geordies simply fell in love with me. I would imagine that King Charles would love to have me as his side kick in Newcastle. I could get him on double vodka and red bulls and give him the time of his life.Has Newcastle not been on the map as a good place for a night out for decades? You'll most likely be invited back to receive the key to the city, although the date & time will need to align with King Charles' schedule as I'd imagine he'll want to be there.

Double vodka and redbull all night. Was a blast.

I will try that, I quite like tequila, sounds interesting.Change the double vodka to 1 tequila, 1 vodka.

This is going to sound terrible, but on our way back we stopped off at the Angel of the North to see it up close, I walked up that embankment towards it and threw up.Was wild in the 80s too.
Went there recently with Mrs S and me Ma as part of a whistle stop tour of the NE.
Went to Alnwick, Cragside House, Rothbury, Seahouses, Durham, Newcastle, and dropped off to see the Angel of the North.

I was at Wetherspoons on the river in August.Has it still got that place (think it was on a boat, but it's all hazy), where the dance floor has a bit in the middle that revolves? Bit dodgy if you only put one foot on it. Saw someone once fall over, and curl up into a ball, and got rolled about the place knocking people over like skittles....
