I'm not convinced your information is uptodate Notch7, but we're only talking fractions of percentages out:
Slightly more than 10,000 have been confirmed as Omicron, but it is thought that about twice that number are cases of the new variant.
France reported 65,713 new Covid cases over a similar period but has only 240 confirmed cases of Omicron

How's those 'doctor' sons of yours getting on these days? They better start looking for new careers next year when it becomes compulsory if their individual thought has led them to the same conclusion as you. You could all start a curtain hanging business being as you spend most of your time hiding behind them. :)

Look deeper at the testing going on..

They are about 1 week behind us if anything. Remember when we closed the border to South Africa, we only had a few. The UK is still a major travel hub and that brings infections as well as prosperity.

Wouldn't a blind fitting business be more appropriate in these modern times?

Accepting your comment at face value,(and I don't) and allowing for the doubling of cases every 2 - 3 days, and using BBC figures for France, that'll put France on about 1000 cases of Omicron, compared to UK's 10,000 (BBC figures), or 28,000 using Notch's figures.
That's still one heck of a mismatch.
The restrictions in European countries, by and large have been a) more restrictive, and b) more consistent, and c) better observed by the people than in UK.

Once again we are leading the way.

Why is the UK so utterly useless at such a simple task? Oh yeah, because we're all "free thinkers" and don't need so-called "experts" to tell us what to do ...

It's not a good chart, because it's not showing the percentage of sequenced cases. We do a lot of sequencing, more than any other medium/large nation as a percentage of PCRs run.

Using cases as a proxy for Omicron spread is probably a better guide.
